Yes!This website is all about SHOES!
Let's first unlock the meaning of the word.Shoes is an item of footwear which first evolved to give protection to our foot but then later became as an item of decoration. The design of shoes has varied through time, and from culture to culture, with appearance originally being tied to function. Another thing is that fashion has often dictated whether shoes have, for example, very high heels or no heels at all. Contemporary footwear varies in style, complexity and cost, from the most basic sandal to high fashion shoes for women that sometimes cost large amount of money a pair. Shoes have been traditionally made out of leather and wood, but are now commonly made from rubber, plastics and other petrochemical-derived materials.
There are seven parts of a shoe. These are namely the sole, insole, outsole, midsole, heel, vamp/upper and the lateral or medial. The bottom of a shoe is called the sole. The insole is the interior bottom part of a shoe. A number of shoes are styled to have removable and replaceable insoles, and extra insoles are often added for comfort. The purpose is to control the shape, moisture or smell of the shoe, or for health reasons. The outsole refers to the layer in direct contact with the ground. The midsole, on the other hand, refers to the layer in between the outsole and the insole that is typically for shock absorption. Although some shoes don't have a midsole at all. The bottom rear part of the shoe is the heel. It is made to support the heel of the foot. This part of the shoe can be high;to make the person taller, or flat; for a more practical use. Any shoe has an upper part that helps hold the shoe onto the foot. That is what we call the vamp or the upper. This part is either decorated or made in style to make the shoe look attractive. The last but not the least is the lateral or medial part. The outside part is referred to as the lateral and the inside facing part of the shoe is called the medial.
